GDPR – Facebook Page

The club has a Facebook page which is provided for collaboration and exchange between members.  Some club information is posted on the site as well as by email to members and/or here on the club’s website.

Anyone wishing to join the Facebook group has to make a request, and requests are checked against the list of existing club members before anyone is allowed to join the Facebook group.

Although the club does not post photos or identify members on the group, the rules of Facebook apply – not the rules of the club.  So anyone can post photos, and anyone can tag photos – including, presumably any future facebook development for automatic facial recognition.

However, if there are any issues with anything on the Facebook page, please contact the club committee.  We reserve the right to delete any members post without warning or explanation – if we feel that members’ privacy is being compromised or if the club is being brought into disrepute.
